Ben Affleck Reacts to Son Samuel Suggesting He Buy a Lamborghini: ‘Are You Crazy?’

Ben Affleck‘s teenage son, Samuel, seems to have inherited his dad’s taste for high-end cars.

During an appearance on Kerry Washington‘s Street You Grew Up On podcast on September 30, the 54-year-old actor shared that his 14-year-old son suggested he buy a Lamborghini.

“I see my son now, you know, and he’s a lot like me,” Affleck said. “And it makes me realize — because my older two ones — they kind of spoiled me because they’re like, ‘No, we don’t want this. We don’t want that.’ They’re like, aversive.”

The Argo actor went on to share how Samuel suggested he buy a Lamborghini, prompting Affleck to respond with disbelief.

“My son’s like, ‘Dad, you should get a Lambo.’ ‘What? A Lambo? Are you [expletive] crazy? Am I an [expletive] in a yellow Lamborghini driving around like at the club?’ He’s like, ‘Yeah,'” he recalled.

Affleck, who also shares Violet, 20, and Fin, 17, with ex-wife Jennifer Garner, quickly shot down Samuel’s suggestion, exclaiming, “No! No!”

In June 2022, Samuel was involved in a mishap while visiting 777 Exotics, a luxury car rental dealership in Los Angeles, with Affleck and Jennifer Lopez, per New York Post.

At the time, the Daredevil actor let his then-10-year-old son sit in the driver’s seat of a bright yellow Lamborghini. Samuel accidentally put the vehicle in reverse, causing it to back into a white BMW.

Representatives for Affleck and the dealership told the New York Post that there was no damage to either vehicle.

“When [Samuel] got into the car, it jerked back and forth,” an employee of the shop told the outlet. “We have a small lot and the cars are close. Everybody was OK! They seemed happy and continued to browse. Affleck loves cars. We hope they come in again.”
