Tony Stark’s Custom ‘Avengers’ Roadster Hits the Auction Block — But There’s a Catch

The ultimate auction find for any Marvel fan? One of Tony Stark’s vehicles, custom built for The Avengers. Soon, it can be yours. On Saturday, October 17, Cars & Bids and Acura/Honda North America will begin accepting bids on Acura’s one-of-one NSX Roadster Concept, built for and used by Robert Downey Jr.‘s character in the 2012 MCU team-up film, First for Autos can confirm.
With red paint matched to Iron Man’s own armor, the vehicle is being sold as part of Acura’s NSX 35th Anniversary celebration, with all proceeds from the sale being donated to the charity of the winner’s choosing.
The car features a hand-built resin and fiberglass body designed by Dave Marek. It comes with a screen-used “STARK 33” license plate, 18- and 20-inch wheels, 5-speed manual transmission, aftermarket sports seats, and a 3.0-liter DOHC 24-valve VTEC V6 engine.

Anyone hoping to take the vehicle on the open road, however, is reminded that it’s a non-registered manufacturer prototype and carries no VIN — meaning it cannot be titled or driven on public roads.
Its bodywork is also considered “fragile” and features paint cracks, scuffs, armrest warping, and “micro-scratches” on front and rear bumpers, A-pillars, and doors.

The official listing also notes that while the odometer currently displays 252,188 miles, its true mileage is unknown.
The auction runs for 14 days. Bidding starts at just $100 — but, chances are, it’s going to sell for a lot more than that.
