Good Samaritan Robbed by Strangers After Helping Them With Dead Car Battery

A Philadelphia woman pulled over to help two strangers who claimed their car battery had died when she was allegedly robbed at gunpoint.
According to a press release from the Philadelphia Police Department, the incident occurred around 12:45 p.m. on Thursday, October 22, near the intersection of 11th and Courtland streets.
The Good Samaritan told police the men claimed they needed a jump-start for their “newer-model” Jeep Compass when she pulled over to help.

“Suddenly, offender #1 pulled a gun and robbed the complainant of her purse. The offenders fled southbound on 11th St.,” the release states.
Surveillance images from the incident were shared on local station 6abc Philadelphia on October 26, which show the Jeep’s hood raised at the time of the reported robbery, and offender #1 pointing what appeared to be a gun in the direction of the unsuspecting woman.

According to the release from police, the armed suspect was described as approximately 5 feet, 8 inches tall, wearing a black jacket, black Adidas pants with a white stripe and a black mask. The second suspect, meanwhile, was listed as being approximately 5 feet, 9 inches tall, with short dreadlocks, wearing a black jacket and black pants.
